Meet the Doctor

MrDoctor-62.jpg
Dr. Kiok is honored to serve the injured workers of Las Vegas, NV at his new medical clinic, Oasis Occupational Medicine. Raised in Louisiana, he graduated magna cum laude from Tulane University with a B.S. in Chemistry in New Orleans and remained in the city to earn his M.D. at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. There, he had his first introduction to occupational medicine, treating the injured longshoremen, oil workers, and transportation sector employees under the guidance of former ACOEM President Dr. Robert Bourgeois. Dr. Kiok completed his occupational medicine residency training between MountainView Hospital in Las Vegas and University of California, San Francisco, graduating in 2021. During the height of the pandemic, he simultaneously earned his Master of Public Health at UC Berkeley in 2020 while volunteering his time at San Francisco General Hospital, co-developing its entire COVID-19 program with its medical director.  After graduation, he worked at Kaiser Permanente in the greater Los Angeles area and attained his board certification, scoring in the top 9% of the entire nation on the exams. Throughout his career, he has also conducted a wide range of scientific research, from the nanotechnology laboratories of Jülich, Germany to the anesthesia department of Harvard University at Massachusetts General Hospital. Today, he is one of less than ten board-certified occupational medicine physicians practicing in southern Nevada, and he applies his unique expertise to deliver superior outcomes for his patients, employers, and insurers. He specializes in the non-operative treatment of musculoskeletal disorders, using a combination of medications, therapies, and injections tailored to each patient’s specific needs. He takes a holistic approach to healthcare, integrating evidence-based medicine with an empathetic ear and compassionate heart to heal his patients beyond just their work injuries. When Dr. Kiok is not treating his patients, he enjoys lifting weights at the gym, hiking, and traveling the world.
